![]() In reality, no religion has entire possession of the term spirituality, as it previously had with regard to the Holy Spirit, a product of religious tradition. The activity of the human spirit, rather than the Holy Spirit, may be referred to here. Spirituality in general refers to the human ability for self-transcendence, regardless of whether that experience is religious or secular. Spirituality is as distinct as a personality. Even within a religious tradition, we may distinguish between healthy and restrictive spirituality on a qualitative level. Spirituality is a developed relationality, not just a skill. Spirituality is a human component that is realized as a life endeavor and practice. "Spirituality is the ability of individuals to transcend themselves through knowledge and love, that is, to reach beyond themselves in relation to others and thus become more than self-contained monads." This inconsistent data is most likely owing to insufficient operationalization of the variables, as well as a failure to account for the moderating influence that people's religious status might have on the relationship between spirituality/religiosity and subjective well-being. Spirituality and religion have been demonstrated to be favorable determinants of subjective well-being, however, results vary among research.
